Delivery Day!

Our kit was ready for pick up back on March 19, it was picked up by the transport company on March 24 along with 9 other kits, and we were the second to last to be delivered. It arrived about 1:30 pm and we had it unloaded - 31 boxes, the frame body and many loose body panels like fenders and running boards by 3:00 pm.

After a quick lunch, we started to tackle the job of getting the body onto the platform we built for storage and started the inventory.

Our system was to open each box, remove the packing paper (which filled up a dumpster) take out all the parts and bags of fasteners, check off the box inventory sheets as we put the parts back into the box. We counted every bolt, nut, and washer and then we taped a copy of the inventory to the box and placed it on the shelf. Along the way, we found 7 missing parts
(we also have 8 on our backorder list) and got all the boxes on the shelves or the platform where we put fragile items like all the glass as well as the fiberglass body, fenders, doors and hood.

We are ready to start to build, but for the next 3 weeks, we are in New Orleans and Cuba, with our friends from Malaysia, California and Texas a group of 18.
